Step 3 - Hooking the Camera up to the Computer

After filming your video, you need to transfer the video on the camera's internal hard drive onto your PC.

The first thing to do is make sure that your Windows XP or Vista computer is started up and logged in... ready to go.

Also, if you haven't done so yet, you need to install the software that came on the Corel Application Disc that shipped with your camera (see step 2 for more information).

Now attach the camera to the computer using the white USB cable provided for the camera (its included in the box). I'm pointing out where it needs to be plugged in by the light blue arrow. Notice that the view-finder needs to be open in order to do this.

Next, make sure you use the included power cable, plugging it into the wall and then the camera. The place to plug the power cable into the camera is shown via the gold arrow.

Maker sure that the video camera is set to Play mode. Once you do this, the computer should sound a tone announcing that the video camera device was found.
