Step 17 - Generating Our AVI File

You have just set your frame size and returned to the dialog shown to the left. Everything is ready!
  • You've selected a directory to save the file in.
  • You've made sure that the file is an AVI file type.
  • You've put in the file name that you want to save it as.
  • You've clicked on the Options button and set the frame size.

Everything is now ready! Click the Save button to save the file!

You will see a status bar appear like the one shown below:

Notice that it will take about 4 minutes to convert this 1 minute long video clip. Expect that this step can take alot of time and plan accordingly.

When it finishes, close the ULead DVD MovieFactory window. When it asks you to Save the Current Project, say No.

You will then see the DVD MovieFactory SE window. Close this window too by clicking the big red X in the upper right hand corner of the window.

And, finally, close the Guide Menu window by clicking the little white X in the upper right hand corner.

Alright! we now have a file created that we can load into Windows Moviemaker!
