Step 16 - Video Save Options: Setting the Frame Size

We gotta edit the Frame Size...

Settings Before    Settings After

You will notice above our "before" and "after" screen shots. You need to change the settings from what they look like in the "before" screen shot to the "after" screen shot. Pretty straight forward.

The red arrow on the before shot is pointing at the "User-defined" option, which is set. You need to change it to the Standard selection (shown in the "after" shot). And then pick 800x600 in the dropdown list. This is the last option in the list by the way...

What if this dialog box looks different than shown? Did you make sure that the File Type was AVI on the previous step? Gotta do that if you want it to work!

What is that AVI tab for?
You edited the Frame Size settings on the General tab. What about the AVI tab? The AVI tab contains various options for compression. I'm a bit lost on this one. The default is no compression. This results in huge output files but the quality is excellent. I did try a couple options that did load into Moviemaker but the picture quality sucked. More research needs to be done in this area. If for the only reason to save space on your hard drive from being eaten up!

Alright! Did you do all the steps listed above? Click the OK button and then...
