How To Get Video from your Canon HG10 into Windows Moviemaker

NOVEMBER 24, 2007

Introduction
About a month ago I bought a digital video camera at Best Buy. I figured I wanted to get something that would meet all the potential needs and wants I had so I bought a Canon HG10 video camera. This camera shot high-def, and wide screen. It saved shots on an internal hard drive and allowed the user to upload there video to their PC where one could edit it and even make DVDs with it.

One thing I really wanted to do with this camera is edit clips in Windows Movie Maker and post new videos I made in it to the internet. There seemed no way to do this. I looked through the stuff that came with the camera, gave up, and searched on the internet for answers. About the only thing that I found out there were people asking the same question but no good answers.

I went back and looked at the software that came with the camera and looked through everything carefully. I tried alot of different things and found out the answer. And now I'm going to show you how!
