Thanks for the comment. We have reformatted the CFML Reference for the next release to call out the default value and if the attribute is required or optional.

Suggestion:
To aid readability of tag documentation I have 2 suggestions:
1) In the list of attributes, make required attributes bold while leaving optional attributes in regular text.
2) Choose a specific colour for default values; green perhaps.
Both of these suggestions allow programmers to reference documentation more quickly. Often, for example, I know the tag I want to use, but need to refer to the documentation to quickly check that I have all required attributes or to see what the default it. Standards such as I've suggested will save us time.
